When is the best time to get a boiler installed?
If you know your boiler needs replacing, the best time to plan for this is in the summer. However, we don’t always get to pick and choose when our boiler is on its way out.
The last thing you want is for your boiler to give up halfway through winter, we recommend getting your boiler serviced before winter and we’ll give you a gentle heads-up if we don’t think it’ll last through the winter.
Loved by our customers:

The JML Boiler Installation Process
When it comes to installing a new boiler, we find it can often be a stressful time for customers, so we aim to make the process as stress-free as possible.
- We help you find your perfect boiler – by using a calculation that determines the BTU/HR* Output requirements and boiler efficiency.
- Using your house type to work out how much heat-loss your property is likely to experience
- How many radiators your property has, and where they are located.
- Hhow many baths your property has, as well as thermodynamic showers.
- We also take into account your existing boilers fuel supply.
- *BTU/HR = British Thermal Unit/Hour. How much heat your new boiler needs to output per hour!
- Once we have that calculation, we will also run through your existing boilers location and whether that is suitable for you or not.
- We’ll then be able to provide a quote for how much you’ll pay. It’s a fixed price quote so it won’t change!
- If you’re happy with the price, we’ll arrange a date for the installation to take place.
- In most cases we can complete a boiler change in one day – so you won’t be without your hot water for too long.
On The Day
- We’ll arrive on the day with your new boiler, and everything we need to complete the replacement.
- We even bring our own drinks, so no need to make us tea or coffee!
- We’ll start by switching off the fuel & water intake to the boiler, in most cases this does mean your property will be without water until the installation is complete.
- We recommend filling up the kettle and ensuring you have a few bottles of water ready for the day.
- We then disconnect the existing boiler and double check the pipe infrastructure.
- We then install the new boiler, testing it a few times to make sure everything is working perfectly.
- Once we’re done, we’ll clean up any mess, take away your old boiler for recycling, and we’ll show you how to work your new boiler and some troubleshooting & maintenance advice.
- When you’re happy, we’ll sign off the new boiler!
Post-Completion
- We’ll then register your new boiler with the manufacturer to get your manufacturer warranty.
- We would love it if you provide us with a review!
